10 Movies Robin Williams Could Have Starred In

Robin Williams was a great actor, a true legend. We will never forget him and we will keep watching his movies till the end of time. He made so many good movies, but imagine he would have played in totally different movies than the ones we know. This is the list with 10 movies Robin Williams could have starred in. I’am sure he would make great jokes and improvisations of this list if he still was alive. Robin Williams as John Rambo. I’am talking about the first movie here. That was a real masterpiece, and I’am sure Robin Williams could have played the tormented Vietnam veteran in his own different way.

2. Raiders Of The Lost Ark

Imagine Robin Williams playing Indiana Jones. We would probably get a completely different Indy. Way more funny, but still Indiana Jones.

3. One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest

Maybe not as unique as Jack Nicholson did, but I’am sure Robin Williams could have played Randle Mcmurphy in a way we would never forget him either.

4. Close Encounters Of The 3th Kind

I wonder what Robin Williams would have made of the potato-mash scene or the mountain-building scene in Close Encounters Of The 3th Kind. If I was Spielberg for a second I think I would not have cast him to play Roy Neary, but rather to play the small part of the French scientist Claude Lacombe. I’am sure Robin Williams could have made something touching of that famous line at the end of the movie ‘I envy you, Mr. Neary’.

5. Scent Of A Woman

Wouldn’t we all love to see Robin Williams play the blind Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade in Scent Of A Woman? The Ferrari and the tango-scene are already legendary today, but if Robin Williams would have played the part they would have become even more legendary I think.

6. Star Wars

If the first Star Wars (yeah the 4th one I know) would have been made a few years ago, Robin Williams could have been a great Ben Obi Wan Kenobi I think. It would have made Star Wars way more funny I guess.

7. The Day Of The Jackal

Most of the young people here will not know this great Fred Zinnemann movie from 1973 based upon the Frederick Forsyth novel. You might remember the terrible remake in 1997 with Bruce Willis and Richard Gere however. Forget that movie, watch the original with Edward Fox as the professional assassin hired to assassinate French president Charles de Gaulle. Edward Fox was good, but I think Robin Willams could have played this part too. In a different way probably, but still very good.

8. The Matrix

Robin Williams as Neo in The Matrix? Why not? Don’t underestimate the talents of Robin Williams, he could have played that part. In a complete different way as Keanu Reeves, but he could have played it.

9. Amadeus

Could a younger version of Robin Williams (I used a face from the Mork & Mindy time here) have played the part of Tom Hulce in Amadeus? Oh yes, I’am sure of that. Robin Williams would have made an hilarious Amadeus, even more funny than Tom Hulce did.

10. Ghostbusters

Robin Williams as Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters? Could have been extremely funny I think.

Unfortunately all this never happened, and sadly we enough we will never see Robin Williams again in a new movie. From all those condolences I saw online the last few days, the above one made me cry a little bit out of emotion. Maybe we’ll meet again one day (or maybe not) but wherever you are right now, and with who Mr. Williams, I’am sure they’re laughing their asses off every second of the day. Thank you for all those years of entertainment and true drama.
